The Role
The Technical Assistant will work in our own Material Science laboratory to analyse and test our self-developed and produced packaging material. The laboratory is already equipped with various analytical instruments, e.g., for barrier tests of oxygen and water vapour, heat sealing and tensile testing, and will further expand in the future.
This position will be mostly involved in the day-to-day testing routine as well as in the conduction of individual test requests and reports to the lab manager. The position will be based in our Holm offices.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates will be expected to work onsite from our Holm office.
We are open to full and part-time candidates based on experience.
Part-time would consist of 20-25 hours per week, spread over multiple days.
How you'll help build one•fıve
You will be part of the Material Science lab to characterize our sustainable packaging material to support our product development team.
Prepare samples and operate instruments, e.g., for the determination of oxygen and water transmission rates, tensile strengths, material thickness and surface roughness
Perform individual test series for product tests or product development
Ensure quality control of raw and self-produced materials
Prepare samples for external measurements and organise their shipment
Support of the lab manager with the lab organisation, e.g. placement of orders or updating of SOPs and health- and safety topics
Support of the lab manager with quality assurance and equipment maintenance, e.g. by performing reference film measurements and their documentation
Document all test activities and generate standard test reports
